Technology

Design Technology at KS3 consists of Food Technology, Textiles, Construction Materials, Electronics and Graphics. Pupils study each subject for 8 weeks and their work is assessed before they move onto the next area. 

At KS4 pupils can choose to follow a full GCSE subject from: Food Technology, Resistant Materials Technology, Textiles Technology and Electronic Products. For those pupils not suited to a full GCSE course we also offer Vocational subjects and training at the Aspire Training Centre in Tenbury Wells.

There are four specialist teachers in the department with two supporting technicians. The Department is well equipped having moved into new accommodation in 2003, each room is permanently equipped with LCD projectors and we make full use of CAD/CAM machinery and ICT rooms within the school.
