LACON CHILDE SCHOOL

We have been asked by Shropshire Education Authority to provide parents/carers of the admission arrangements for 2010/11. A copy of the notice is provided below:

NOTICE TO PARENTS/CARERS OF CHILDREN AGED 2 – 16 YEARS

SCHOOL ADMISSION ARRANGEMENTS 2010/11

Shropshire Council is the Local Authority for all maintained schools in Shropshire, and the Admissions Authority for all Community and CE Controlled Schools. As such we need to notify all parents/carers of children aged 2 – 16 years that a Consultation exercise on School Admission Arrangements for 2010/11 is currently in progress for a period of 8 weeks up until 27 February 2009. All Aided and Foundation Schools are their own Admissions Authorities, but they must also consult on their admission arrangements.

Information on all the admissions policies can be found on the Shropshire website: www.shropshire.gov.uk, by following the link to the School Admissions webpage. There are no major changes to the policies which have operated for a number of years and which can be found in the current edition of the “Parents’ Guide to Education in Shropshire”. This can also be viewed on the website.
