Website Templates
Content A standard content page template with banner and sidebar area.
Content-No-Banner A standard content page template without a banner.
Detail A template used to display dynamically generated content such as blog posts, calendar events and search results. You will never need to choose this template when adding a page.
Home The homepage template. This should only be used on the main homepage.
Splash page The splash page template is for the landing page that links to all the school pages.
Login A standard content page template with a login box. This is used by the 'login' page, which visitors are taken to automatically when trying to access a secure section.are
Web Browser Support a template used only by the ‘/website-browser-support’ page to notify visitors accessing the website in outdated browsers (Internet Explorer 8 and below).

important-notice Activates the Important Notice on the Homepage.

Tabs (Landing page)

  1. Navigate to the splash page.
  2. Add/edit the text features for each school.
  3. Update the school name format to address by highlighting the text and selecting Address from the Format options.
  4. To create a return new line, hold down the Shift key on your keyboard and press the Enter key.
  5. Add/edit the text and link to the school page

Banner Slides

  1. Navigate to the page you wish to update (homes).
  2. The images, and captions for the homepage slideshow can be edited using the gallery feature seen in the top right of the page when in edit mode.
  3. Ensure the gallery settings has been changed to Gallery with shadow thumbnailClick on the gallery feature and then click settings from the dropdown to access this.
  4. Add/edit slideshow images by inserting an image to the gallery. Click on the gallery feature and then click Add/Edit/Delete from the dropdown to access this.
  5. Update the caption from the Add/Edit/Delete options page.
  6. Default images can be updated by overwriting them with an image of the same name and in the same location within the MainFolder: /MainFolder/homepages/home-banner-default.jpg
  7. For new entries; create a new gallery feature

Ajax-Content-Admin

  1. Navigate to /Ajax-Content-Admin in the Website Administration section.
  2. Update the social media links for each school under the corresponding school names
  3. Use the Social Icons content template to add social links
  4. Double click the link to update/edit it

Homepage Important Notice

  1. Navigate to /Ajax-Content-Admin in the Website Administration section.
  2. Add the important notice message to the first text feature.
  3. Add a H2 title and text beneath it about the notice or announcement.
  4. Publish the page and navigate to the Homepage.
  5. Access Page Settings and add the tag important-notice under tags at the bottom of the page.
  6. Save your page settings to put the notice live.

Homepage Feature Settings

  1. Navigate to the homepage.
  2. Update the title text via the Feature Settings. 
  3. Ensure the title option is selected. Tick the option Display this title under the Feature options

Events (Homepage)

  1. Navigate to the homepage events section.
  2. Access the blog settings
  3. Add the feature title text as mentioned above (Homepage Feature Settings)
  4. Select the appropriate detail template for the school you're posting for.
  5. Edit an event by clicking Edit while in edit mode

Latest News (Homepage)

  1. Navigate to the homepage carousel  section.
  2. Access the blog settings
  3. Add the feature title text as mentioned above (Homepage Feature Settings)
  4. Change the setting to blog list with summary.
  5. Ensure the date options is set to dd/mm/yy 
  6. Select the appropriate detail template for the school you're posting for.
  7. For new entries, add new blog posts

Quick Links (Homepage)

  1. Update the quick links by double clicking on the image or caption/link
  2. To create the quick links, add an unordered list
  3. Add an image first.
  4. Then add a H3 caption directly underneath the image
  5. Add a link to the caption
  6. Add new rows by pressing the Enter key to create more quick links

Quick Links (Content page)

  1. Select the Quick Links content template.
  2. Double click the link to update it
  3. Double click the image to update it

Content Page Banner Gallery

  1. Navigate to the page you wish to update (homes).

Accordion

  1. To add an accordion to a page create a text feature
  2. Select accordion from the content templates within the text feature
  3. Replace the title text
  4. Replace the body text
  5. note that the body text only takes a single paragraph
